This is not only a low price for a 50in 4K TV, but it’s also particularly good value for a Samsung model.
The TV comes with three HDR formats: HDR10, HDR10+, and broadcast-friendly Hybrid-Log Gamma (HLG), as well as three smart assistants built in. These include Samsung’s own Bixby, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
Content-wise, you can get a range of streaming apps including BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5, Netflix, Disney Plus, Now TV, Amazon Prime Video and other apps, available to install from the TV’s app store.
You do need to pay separately for the individual content subscriptions, where appropriate, though.
And if you want to use the screen for gaming, it comes with ALLM, also known as Auto Low-Latency Mode.
This 'game' mode turns on automatically when the TV is connected to compatible consoles, which includes the Xbox One X/S, Xbox Series X/S, PS5.
This feature reduces the input lag meaning you get faster response times when playing fast-paced shooters or competitive online games.
