The annual Wood Awards took place this week in London. Held at the storied Carpenters’ Hall—one of the many historical guilds in the City of London—the ceremony crowns the best and most innovative uses of wood in U.K. design and architecture. Awards are given to a range of pioneering commercial, public, and private projects up and down the country, all top-to-toe timber.
The prestigious competition was originally known as the crafty Carpenters’ Award when it was first held in 1971, but it was rebranded in 2003 to signal its commitment to the best in contemporary practice. We've assembled some of this year's winners here.
