7 October – S10 The Walking Dead

Did someone say zombies and an excellent plot? Spook yourself silly this October in preparation for Halloween with season 10 of the worldwide hit, The Walking Dead. Follow a rag-tag team of survivors as they navigate their destinies after the zombie apocalypse. Think Shaun of the Dead on steroids.

23 October – S16 Grey’s Anatomy

You heard it right. The classic hospital ward show is back and it’s bringing classic drama back with it. Rumour has it new showrunner Krista Vernoff has been trying to bring back a key original character. Could it be the beautiful ghost of Patrick Dempsey? Probably not, but we can dream.

TBC – In a Man’s World

Viola Davis and Julius Tennon have concocted a new social experiment series that follows four women as they transform into men. Watch as gender bias is explored and exploited with a fair share of laughs along the way.

21 October – Watchmen

Superheroes are no longer praised for their powers in this nine-part DC series: instead, they are outlawed and hunted. Based on a comic of the same name, this series has a star-studded cast with the likes of Regina King and Jeremy Irons.

3 October – Catherine the Great

This period epic stars none other than Dame Helen Mirren as Catherine the Great. Watch the true story of Catherine's reign nearing its end as she battles scandal and huge family conflict. It’s practically royalty playing royalty, and we can’t wait.

TBC – I Love You, Now Die

Michelle Carter stands trial for sending abusive texts to her boyfriend who later commits suicide. Questions of culpability and the role that social media plays in criminal cases are brought to light in this gripping documentary.

4 October – Widows

This explosive heist thriller follows four widows, each saddled with their husband’s debt, as they plan to complete the heist their other halves never pulled off. Steve McQueen pulls together an impressive cast of Viola Davis, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Erivo.

18 October – Goosebumps 2

It’s been 40 years since Michael Myers donned his terrifying mask to viciously attack his last victim. Unfortunately for Laurie Strode, he’s back and not backing down.

TBC – Boy Erased

This teen drama is set in small town America and tells the story of Jared Hedges, the gay son of a Baptist pastor, who is forced into a conversion therapy programme. This process brings Jared to question his entire identity and his relationship with his family.
